I arrived at Mega Channel from ERT ready, absolutely ready for anything! I knew about television, I knew about television journalism and about editing, about breakfast TV and interviewing, about overseas missions and endless nights reporting on the sick Papandreou, the sick Vougiouklaki, Karamanlis, the 2^nd Gulf War, Yugoslavia. I hosted two morning programmes, "Studio 5" with Rika Vagiani and "Frou–Frou" with Liza Doukakarou, as well as news bulletins. I was also in charge of a series of special missions to China, Poland, Pakistan, England, Tunisia.

I started out at ΕRΤ 2 as a newscaster, editor and reporter of international news, while in 1988 I presented the first breakfast show on Greek television with Aris Skiadopoulos, editors in chief were the dear departed Thodoros Sgourdaios, the gentleman of journalism, and Vissarionas Stavrakas who passed away so prematurely.

At Star Channel, I presented the main news bulletin for 2 years, while the channel’s more ‘film and fun’ attitude lead me to Los Angeles, New York and Hawaii.

I returned to ERT in 2005 when the Olympics finished and I said good-bye to Alpha. I went with the idea in mind for a programme on European issues, along-time dream constantly being fed by Greece’s increasingly close relationship to the European Union.

I was «invited» to Alpha by Stavros Theodorakis who had taken on the news division but in the end I was hired by Nikos Hatzinikolaou. I didn’t do much for 2 years, fortunately for me I was working at the same time for the Olympic Games.
