I am informed over the phone by Lola Daiafa, head of the Press and Public Relations Office at Star Channel where I was presenting the main news bulletin. The year 2001, a lovely statuette, my very own Oscar for being voted the best loved presenter was handed over to me by two well-known ladies in politics, Dora Bakogianni and Vaso Papandreou.
